Therapy near West Hollywood

Therapy for individuals, couples, groups, and families in and near West Hollywood.

Wandering Heart Collective was dreamed into being by Trauma and Addiction Therapist, Katie Holz as a way to weave together a network of trusted, like-hearted practitioners across California. Born from a vision of connection, reciprocity, and care, our collective is grounded in shared values, relational depth, and a commitment to experiential, trauma-informed healing. Together, we hold space for transformation.

While each of us works independently in our own practices, we come together for consultation, and collaboration. And, just as importantly, for connection and play. By working together, we ensure that those seeking support can be matched with practitioners who truly understand their needs and offer care that is thoughtful, informed, and deeply attuned.

Trauma Therapy

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy designed to help reprocess distressing experiences so they are no longer stuck in survival mode.

EMDR does not require retelling your trauma in detail. Instead, through bilateral stimulation (eye movements, tapping, or sound), we work directly with the brain’s natural processing system to loosen entrenched emotional responses, reduce distress, and integrate past experiences in a new way. Whether you are navigating PTSD, anxiety, or self-limiting patterns, EMDR allows us to move beyond insight and into a felt experience of relief and resolution.

Body-Based Relational Therapy

Body-based relational therapy is a way of working where your body (soma) and our relationship are both central to the healing process. Instead of staying only in thoughts or insight, we pay close attention to what happens between us and within you in real time: your breath, posture, impulses, emotions, and the stories that live in your body.

We slow down enough to notice how you protect yourself, where you feel alone, and where you long for connection. In this space, I will stay present with you, offering steady, attuned contact so you can begin to feel safer being fully yourself with another person. Over time, these moments of feeling deeply met, seen, and moved by each other can soften old survival patterns and open more room for ease, intimacy, and self-compassion.

Ketamine Therapy

Ketamine offers a unique window into expanded awareness and neuroplasticity, allowing for a loosening of rigid patterns and access to material that may feel unreachable in ordinary states of consciousness. When held with care, ketamine-assisted therapy can help process trauma, shift entrenched emotional patterns, and reconnect with a sense of meaning and presence. Our approach is grounded in relational and somatic work, ensuring that what emerges in the medicine session is integrated and made usable in your life.

Psychedelic Somatic Interactional Psychotherapy (PSIP) is a cutting-edge, body-based approach to trauma healing and personal growth that integrates the transformative potential of psychedelics with somatic (body-centered) psychotherapy. Unlike traditional psychedelic therapies, PSIP works without the use of high-dose psychedelics and instead focuses on evoking non-ordinary states of consciousness through low-dose or sub-psychedelic use of medicines (Cannabis and/or Ketamine). This allows clients to access deep layers of their psyche and nervous system in a grounded and relational setting, fostering profound healing and integration.
